Last week, North Carolina-based Jason Hughes posted the results of his fiddling around with the Tesla system. Based on Hughes’ findings, it looks like a new, more powerful Model S battery may be in the offing
Hughes posted the key code string on Twitter, which, after you run it through a decoder, reveals the characters “P100D” in place of the previous “P90D.” The number change is thought by some Tesla fans to indicate a possible upcoming 10 kWh power increase — a 100 kWh battery in place of the current 90 kWh battery — in the next Tesla Model S offerings..
