Land Rover discontinued the production of its iconic Defender model in late January. However, you can now buy one of its factory-restored predecessors, the Series I, from the British company.
At the same time Land Rover announced it had built the last of the modern Defender 4x4s, it also revealed it was starting a factory restoration project of some of its most famous models under a project — called Land Rover Classics “Reborn” — in a workshop in the now-former Defender factory.
The first effort in the Reborn program, pictured here, was just unveiled at the Techno-Classica in Essen, Germany. Land Rover is being tight-lipped about the price. Read more…
