Sure, we’ve now proved cars can play soccer. But can they shoot for three points from downtown?
Rocket League‘s creators intend to find out, based on a tweet developer Psyonix sent out Thursday evening.
The indie game, with a simple “cars + soccer” concept, took the gaming world by storm last summer. Since then, it has picked up numerous awards, including three from The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, voted on by other industry members. It’s also getting its own livestreamed league, in a partnership with Twitch.
How exactly basketball will be implemented with cars, Psyonix didn’t say, but with March Madness starting March 16, we could have an answer soon. Read more…
